The Cycladic Light & Earth Festival, co-organised by Cycladia, Positive Island Records and Light & Earth, is an independent initiative like so many others in the world, key to the collective consciousness and to the fruition of our dreams, as we march towards a new way of life.

• Collection of works from the Naxian Marble Sculpting Symposium (NMSS)

• Chess & Board Games
• Local Food Stands

All the events are open to the public and entrance is always free, with a desirable contribution of each audience member to help with covering the expenses of the festival.

AN IDEA OF MUTUAL OFFERING

The organization of so many events during these three short days is only possible thanks to the selfless participation and disposition of the artists, rapporteurs, and volunteers, creating a big group of people operating under the Idea of Mutual Offering.

We want to take a moment to thank all individuals who will participate in the events or will volunteer to help with the organisation, the cooking, the set-up, the carrying, and the cleaning!

OPEN INVITATION

Cycladia’s team is sending out an open invitation for a 3-day long gathering in the natural setting of mountainous region of central Naxos, with live music of all shapes & kinds, open stage jams, workshops, activities for children, storytelling arts & crafts fair, discussion & reflection, local food stands, marble sculpture exhibition, colorful flavors & people.

If you would like to participate in CLEF 2022, either by taking part in the music program, the dance/theatre performances, the workshops, the discussions, or as a volunteer helping in the organisation, we ask that you express your interest through email at clef@cycladia.org, or by phone: 22850 32678.

Ways you can participate:

• You can cook your favorite dish and bring it, a pie or cake!
• You can bring your instrument and make it sound!
• You can sing along and dance!
• You can bring your creations and sell them on a bench!
• You can think of something else and surprise us all!

Cycladia covers all travel expenses to and from Naxos and provides warm hospitality with the inclusion of room and food for all participants.

 

WHERE IS IT TAKING PLACE

The Cycladic Light & Earth Festival is taking place on the outer space of Cycladia. Cycladia is located on Naxos Island a bit outside of Damalas village, in the center of the island.

The address is 14th km of the provincial road Naxos - Apeiranthos, Damalas, Naxos.

HOW THE FESTIVAL IS FINANCED

As mentioned, all the artists, organizers and volunteers participate without getting a money reward. Even so, a festival has some important expenses.

All the activities are open to the public with free entry. The volunteer contribute of everyone, with an amount that each one thinks best, is very important and it is pratically the only way to cover the expenses.

There is no public finance.

• Platanos Cafe named after the original tree that stands in the Filoti's square for over 100 years
• Ammos Cafe is a haven of tranquility in Agios Georgios, the town's busy beach
• Aktaion: just try to stay focused if you can, when you enter this small heaven made of desserts and icecream
• Siropiasto with desserts always crispy, fresh and... you guessed it, soaked in syrup, for serious sugar lovers!
• Moustakis Bakery, a family owned and run bakery in Filoti
• Detsis Bakery: everyday with a smile and a variety of delicacies, in the village of Halki

From its conception to the preparation and carrying out, the Cycladic Light & Earth Festival is the work of a large group of people from the community living on and around the island of Naxos, which includes the team of Cycladia and several other friends. Among the people participating are:
